The Great thing about Midi's is that you can alter the instrumentation, tempo, meter, and key, and make a neat backing track. The only thing to remember is that Midi's cannot be played on a CD player without first converting them to wave or other compatible sound file, and they should be used for practicing purposes only.
I have created and otherwise accumulated tons of Backing Tracks for singers to use when they practice their craft.
